Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. This first printing VG+ quality World Landmark book was published by Random House in 1959. It is square, very clean, free of corner bumps and edge dings and with very lightly bumped head and heel of the spine; the spine is clean and not faded; bottom edges and lower corners have virtually no wear; the hinges are strong and tight. The interior is completely free of writing, stray marks, stains of any type and paper damage of any sort. The paper is slightly toned but is very flexible. The VG jacket is free of chips and tears but has spots of color loss at the head of the spine a black line at the top of the rear gutter, and a mildly soiled rear panel. This is a "Young Readers of America" copy (BMOC) and thus there are no book lists in the book or on the jacket.
