The first edition of this vanishingly scarce play.In the publisher's original cloth binding, with illustrative gilt stamped to the front board.This 'Miracle Play of the Christ Mass' was written as a substitute to Denstone College's annual Shakespearean performance, which they were advised to forego during the War. With musical arrangements by the Director of Music, A. Rawlinson Wood.With an introductory note and and staging and costume suggestions written by F. A. Hibbert, the headmaster of the College from 1905-1919. He was also part of the team that compiled 'The Register of S. Chad's College Denstone', a historical work on the school. In the original cloth binding. Externally, with bumping and marks to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. With offsetting to the endpapers, otherwise generally bright and clean, with the odd spot or handling mark. Good. book.
