Classless Inter-Domain Routing is a methodology of allocating IP addresses and routing Internet Protocol packets. It was introduced in 1993 to replace the prior addressing architecture of classful network design in the Internet with the goal to slow the growth of routing tables on routers across the Internet, and to help prevent the rapid exhaustion of IPv4 addresses. IP addresses are described as consisting of two groups of bits in the address: the most significant part is the network address which identifies a whole network or subnet and the least significant portion is the host identifier, which specifies a particular host interface on that network. This division is used as the basis of traffic routing between IP networks and for address allocation policies. Classful network design for IPv4 sized the network address as one or more 8-bit groups, resulting in the blocks of Class A, B, or C addresses. Classless Inter-Domain Routing allocates address space to Internet service providers and end users on any address bit boundary, instead of on 8-bit segments. 100 pp. Englisch.…

CIDR notation isa compact specification of an Internet Protocol address and itsassociated routing prefix. Classless Inter-Domain Routing (CIDR) is anInternet Protocol (IP) address allocation and route aggregationmethodology used within the Internet addressing architecture thatreplaced the IPv4 classful network organization of the IP address space. It is used also for IPv6 networking, the next generation of the IPaddressing architecture.…

A classfulnetwork is a network architecture used in the Internet until around1993. It divided the address space for Internet Protocol Version 4 intofive address classes. Each class, coded by the first three bits of theaddress, defined a different size or type of the network. Todayremnants of classful network concepts remain in practice only in alimited scope in the default configuration parameters of some networksoftware and hardware components, but the terms are often still heard ingeneral discussions of network structure among network administrators.…

Classless society refers to a society in which no one is born into a social class. Such distinctions of wealth, income, education, culture, or social network might arise and would only be determined by individual experience and achievement in such a society.Since these distinctions are difficult to avoid, advocates, such as Anarchists, communists, etc. of a classless society propose various means to achieve and maintain it and attach varying degrees of importance to it as an end in their overall programs/philosophy.[citation needed].…
