Soft cover. Condition: Near Fine. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Near fine, first edition, unpaginated (approx 40 pps), essay and 27 full page illustrations, many in full color. Catalog printed for solo exhibit October 18-November 29, 1963 Clean and tight, sunned border on front cover, light spotting within border, otherwise, without n…oted flaws, writing, etc. Still was one of the first of the Abstract Expressionist school to completely reject figurative painting and a leader in the Color Field movement. The earliest painting in this catalog dates to 1937, already demonstrating a clear vision and unique aesthe4tic statement. The essay is built on statements by the artists and insight into the paintings, in a clear accessible format. Rare and will no doubt become even more collectible in the future as Still will remain a key 20th century artist. Oblong format folio.
