Signed and inscribed by Zane Grey to Lola Gornall on the front free endpaper in his signature purple ink: "Altadena, Sept 27 - To Lola - my latest romance published July 1, written fifteen years ago. It is going strong. Paramount is making a motion-picture of it. I hope you like it. Ever, Zane." Zane Grey first met Lola Gornall, a poet living in Australia in April 1933.
