Paperback. Condition: Very Good. Uncorked & Off the Chain delivers chops and attitude with zany cutting-edge opinion, observational humor, and tales from the wild side. No topic is off-limits, from sports, gambling, and edgy tales, to marriage, dogs, and mass consumption of cocktails. Short and snappy free-standing essays for those readers looking for a quick belly laugh.Benefits of yoga in order of importance: 1) flatulence prompting; 2) flexibility; 3) strength. Strike the downward dog pose and you'll be breaking wind like Gandhi. Namaste Jameson unveils plans for radically revamping the Olympics and pontificates on other pressing sports issues of the day. It slays me when a golfer hits it close to the hole and the commentator says, 'Golly, he just hit a perfect shot.' Bull****. If the ball doesn't go in the hole, it isn't the perfect shot. He also rails against the establishment, has a keen eye for societal absurdities, and doles out sage man advice. Why don't we have topless bars at airports.…

Paperback. Condition: Good. Comedian Mark Steel, has spent most of his life a committed, signed-up member of the Socialist Workers Party. The Labour Party coming to power in 1997 could have been the start of a new political dawn for Mark and for Britain. But instead, big business and war-mongering thrived under New Labour, and in many ways the working class seemed to become more marginalised. Petty bickering and in-fighting racked the SWP, numbers dwindled horribly, socialism became a dirty word and Mark Steel began to think the unthinkable .do I really want to belong to this rabble anymore? At the same time, entering his forties, Mark's personal life began to disintegrate. Spending many sleepless nights on the sofa, watching inane cable TV into the early hours of the morning, Mark asked himself the question, 'What is Going On?' In a book that goes right to the heart of Britain and the problems it suffers today, Mark wonders why over a million people marching in London couldn't stop the war in Iraq, why supermarkets are killing the small town centres of Britain and why George Galloway went on Celebrity Big Brother destroying any political credibility he may have had in the blink of a cat's eye.Bitingly funny, poignant, sharply observed and very much of the moment, this is Mark Steel at his brilliantly intelligent best.…

Paperback. Condition: Very Good. Best known, of course, for his appearances in the recent A commercials, it will no doubt come as a surprise to many that John Cleese was previously involved in comedy within a little-known troupe of comedians known as Monty Python, and also wrote and starred in a completely unknown sitcom named Fawlty Towers. Having now reached the dizzy heights of television advertising, Cleese has become a face recognisable across the world and a much-quoted, often controversial figure within the media. This book brings together some of the funniest and most interesting quotes from The Comic Messiah himself.…

Paperback. Condition: Good. The Comi Rangers find the bomb and manage to disarm it, but Kingu Jacky is still bent on destroying the party. He and Subaru battle it out, and Subaru finally manages to defeat him. Kazuki has problems with the story for his next doujinshi, so Mizuki convinces him to go out and enjoy the summer with her. In exchange for doing what she wanted, she agrees to do one thing Kazuki wants. He asks her to be his poster girl to help him sell doujinshi, which seemed pretty bad by itself, but then Taishi tells her that part of being a poster girl is cosplay (costume play). Taishi enlists the help of Reiko Haga to convince Mizuki that cosplay isn't all bad. Reiko succeeds and Mizuki starts work on her Card Master Peach Costume. Kazuki, realizing how hard Mizuki is working for him, decides that he must finish his doujinshi in time. He ends up overworking himself and getting sick, so Reiko, who happened to come over to return a video game, calls her friends to help him finish. With everyone working together, Kazuki's doujinshi is finished. Mizuki finished her costume (she even bought the transformation stick), and with her as a poster girl, Kazuki manages to sell out all his doujinshi.…
