The front cover shows a one inch closed tear on the top edge, some edge wear and some rubbing. The back cover shows an edge chip, a mark and some rubbing. The pages are slightly toned, more so at the edges but are supple and unmarked. The red-tinted page edges show some rubbing and fading. The book is tightly bound. This book will be placed in a new archival bag and shipped after receipt of payment in a reinforced padded mailer or a new box with a USPS tracking number.

This small hard cover book (6 x 8 ĵ inches, 300 pages) was published by Duell, Sloan and Pearce of New York, dated June 1942 and the fifth printing of the First Edition. The book is bound in oatmeal colored buckram boards with dark blue titles on the spine. Condition: This book is in very good condition. The cloth of the buckram seems to attract soiling or darkening but overall, it is not too bad. The spine is a bit darkened from handling. Inside, the news is much better. There is a former owner s name on the front endpaper but that is the only mark in the book. The interior pages are clean and bright throughout, without toning or foxing. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.
