Please find a copy of an engaging book which is about fighting the Nazis in Norway; it is titled: The Commandos A Novel, by Elliott Arnold. This small hard cover book (6 x 8 ¼ inches, 300 pages) was published by Duell, Sloan and Pearce of New York, dated June 1942 and the fifth printing of the First Edition. The book is bound in oatmeal colored buckram boards with dark blue titles on the spine. Condition: This book is in very good condition. The cloth of the buckram seems to attract soiling or darkening but overall, it is not too bad. The spine is a bit darkened from handling. Inside, the news is much better. There is a former owner s name on the front endpaper but that is the only mark in the book. The interior pages are clean and bright throughout, without toning or foxing. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.

Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. 8vo. Full tan cloth. 300 pp. Very slight tanning to cloth at spine. Light age toning to edges of pages. Dust jacket is chipped at spine ends, lightly worn and rubbed at extremities, spot of wear to spine, a few short tears and one long tear to upper edge of rear flap. The Commandos is a love story of the war. Nicole Larsen, a Norwegian woman who is the head of the underground in a Norwegian town, and Alan Lowell, American leader of the Commando group, are central figures.
