Pamphlet. Condition: Near fine. Set of eighteen Common Speech pamphlets from the English-Speaking Union of the United States, published between 1929 and 1934. (illustrator). First Edition. Octavo, [eighteen volumes]. First five measure 8" x 5.5", the rest are 7.5" x 5.25". Bound with two staples along center crease of each pamphlet. Solid binding, occasional toning and foxing to edges of covers, a near fine set. Thin crease through the center of each volume from original mailing structure, mailing address on rear panels. Pamphlets name the branches throughout the states and detail their meeting schedules and topics of discussion. Housed in a custom cloth chemise and slipcase. Release dates include monthly, bi-monthly, and quarterly publications. Pamphlet editions include: April 1929, June 1929, July 1929, April 1930, June 1930, October 1930, January 1931, February 1931, March 1931, June 1931, October 1931, November 1931, December 1931, March-April 1932, September-October 1932, First Quarter 1933, Second Quarter 1933, Third Quarter 1933, Fourth Quarter 1933, First Quarter 1934.
