INSCRIBED and dated by editor La Monte Young in manuscript pencil: "To - / 97 XII 19 5:03:31 PM NYC / La Monte Young." La Monte Young is one of the most influential experimental composers of the modernist era, and is primarily remembered today as one of the originators of minimalist drone music. Several of Young's compositions were collected in various Fluxus editions, beginning in the early 1960s, including "Trio for Strings," from the "FLUXUS 1" anthology.
