Bound from George Newnes sheets, and with change of publisher sticker to title page (Elsevier now own Newnes). 19 × 13cm, 304pp. A first printing of George Oliphant Watson's dictionary of marine engineering etc. An alphabetical guide to terms used by nautical engineers and sailors, running from A. C. Commutator Motor through to Zones (Temperate), via Dry Cyaniding, Foul Berth, Maierform, and the Stanchion. Condition: The book is in very good condition. The dustwrapper a little faded and marked to the spine but essentially still VG.
