Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. Lenski, Lois (illustrator). First Edition First Printing. Another book both written & illustrated by this Newbery Medal-winning author and illustrator, this one dedicated to "my beloved Arkansas cotton children,'' & SIGNED by Lenski (her name only) to half-title page. A FIRST EDITION, First Printing, from 1949 (with statement), this hardcover octavo has soft rose-colored cloth over boards stamped with a silver cotton boll & lettered in silver to front & spine. 191 pages + decorative endpapers. Condition is VG: completely clean, binding strong & straight, pages lightly tanned, especially around edges, but completely unmarked save for former owner's bookplate in front matter. Modest rubbing & a bit of fraying to corners & spine tips. No DJ (missing). Our photos depict the Exact book you will receive, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have!
