Colour plates, b/w illustrations, bibliography. Quarter-leather over pictorial oatmeal cloth. Brown cloth slipcase. Fine unread copy in slipcase. Edition limited to 100 copies, signed by the publisher, Paul Morgan. In 1976 Richard Grant-Rennick of the Standfast Press compiled and published Coursing: The Pursuit of Game with Gazehounds. It was widely praised for the high standard of its writing, its beautiful illustrations and design, and was issued in a standard cloth-bound edition and also a de luxe limited edition. Now, ten years after his death, Richard Grant-Rennick's estate has been found to include 100 sets of unbound sheets that had been intended for use in the de luxe edition (stated limitation 150 copies, but it is likely that only about 60 were produced). In order to once again make this magnificent book available, these sheets have been bound by Coch-y-Bonddu Books in an edition limited to only these 100 copies. Our thanks go to the Grant-Rennick family for the opportunity to re-issue this scarce and important book. Includes colour plates by Michael Lyne and Mary Browning, John Tickner's drawings and Leslie Benenson's wood engravings. Over thirty expert contributors include Ted Walsh, H. Edwards Clarke, and Roger Upton. Appendices include National Coursing Club rules, Waterloo Cup winners, Select Commitee reports on coursing etc. .
