Now pubished as an Appendix to the Late Pamphlet, entitled 'An Inquiry into the Consequences of Neglecting to Give the Prayer Book with the Bible' " 1812. Demy 8vo, circa 8.5 x 5.5 inches, pp. 126 + 1 [ad] + 51 + 1 [ad] + viii + 120, hardback, half-leather binding, speckled edges, hand-sewn headbands. Book - G+ , prelims a little dusty with a hint of foxing but text block clean, inscription on first flyleaf - "J. R. Jones, (Gomerydd) 1874. Bought at the sale of books of the late Rev. J. Hughes of Clocaeriog [? ] near Ruthin.", very occasional pencil mark in text, single worm damage inside back board and only really affecting last few pages, last 40 pages show 1 inch section of waviness on the fore-edge, binding firm ; later (mid-Victorian) binding of black diced calf to spine and corners and purple cloth to boards, gilt title and simple ruled gilt lines to spine, corners slightly rubbed, back clean with hinge intact and leather in good condition but with cloth colour faded and mottled, spine is complete with minor rubbing and nicks at top, spine gilt is complete and bright, front clean but again the cloth colour is mottled. Overall the binding is in very good condition with subtle sheen to leather and cloth. Each of these books is very scarce (no copies of any on the web at the time of listing), making this a rare collection of significant works from the early part of the nineteenth century.
