Small folio (14" x 11") colored, straight border. Bottom margin is somewhat crudly reinforced with paper from another map, color is a bit darker, seems taped to bottom, not affecting image, normal aging and browning; otherwise good or better. Inset showing Japan.

Colour map, 56 x 40.5cm sheet size, folding to 21.5 x 11.5cm as issued into yellow stiffened card wrappers, Light creasing to edges of wrappers, map is in fine condition. Exceptional detail to this uncommon independent map issue from the Cram company. A wealth of towns are marked on this map issued just after the United States entered the second world war. There is a small inset of Peiping and Environs and one of HongKong and Territorial Concessions. The "Explanation" at lower right lists English translations for Chinese words such as fu, ting, chau and hsien (cities of the 1st to 4th ranks), ling (mountain chain), mo (desert) etc.
