Upper edge of front panel has a small dent about 1 1/2" from the front spine corner. Lowermost edges of front and back panels are scuffed. Shadow transfer stains on the front- and back-free endpapers. A few small foxings on the external fore- and lower-edges, which are also age-toned. Text pages are lightly age-toned, no marks or tears. Text block is sound. Dust jacket is sunned overall, heavily on spine and fore-edges. List of Works of Rudyard Kipling on the back jacket panel and pencilled check marks against the titles. Head of jacket spine has loss across width (1 1/4") and up to 1/2" on the back corner. Upper back fore-edge corner has loss of 7/8" by up to 1/4".
