Nicely inscribed & signed by Gardner to John Sirigo who purchased a Great Dane from the author - the official registration certificate of the transfer record from the American Kennel Club (dated Dec. 15, 1936 with assigned no. A127646) is included with the book. Illustrated with B&W photos, drawings by the author and cartoons by Walter Lantz (whose name was misspelled on the title page). Octavo in dark green cloth binding. Condition: spine is a bit age-darkened; several tiny punctures in the book cloth at the lower portion of the front outer hinge; else a very good+ copy of an extraordinary book. 206 pages.
