Black cloth over boards with gilt-debossed particulars to spine. Pages are clean and unmarked. Text block is lightly sunned with small dampstain to lower part of fore edge. Boards are clean and bright with bumping and light rubbing to corners and ends of spine. Binding is tight and square. Dust jacket has light creasing to tail of spine and scuff markings to fold of rear flap, but is otherwise clean, bright and unmarked. Dust jacket is covered in a protective mylar jacket.

The dust jacket has some light wear on the top and bottom edges of the spine and shows some small light rubbing marks on the back. This is the second state of the first edition, which was reprinted by a friend of August Derleth in 1965. Only 300 copies were produced and it has the headers on the spine of the book block. This copy has been signed by the author with an inscription on the front free end paper. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Signed by Author.
