Antje von Graevenitz discuss the architecture of Monte Verita, while Vita Banga relates how the Latvian modernist architect Marta Stana turned the summer house into a kind of functional escape from the confining ideological borders of the Soviet regime in Latvia in the 1960s. A visual essay by Davide Cascio goes along with the texts.

Cascio verwendet einfaches Material wie Karton, Holz und Neonlicht und schafft damit allegorische Installationen, die Obsessionen, Hoffnungen und Träume des gesellschaftlichen Fortschritts spiegeln. Parallel zeigt er immer auch Collagen, in denen er verführerische Bilder aus Werbung und Modemagazinen zu retro-futuristischen Szenarien kombiniert. Das Kunstmuseum Thun besitzt in seiner Sammlung herausragende Bilder von Stämpfli aus den 1960er-Jahren. In einem spannungsvollen Dialog reagieren die beiden Künstler auf einander.
