Signed on the title page by the Quarrymen: "To Harry (Remo Four) Best Wishes, Len Garry," "To Harry, Good Luck, Eric Griffith," To Harry, All My Best, Bill Smith," "All the very best to Harry, Rod Davis," "Colin Hanton." Laid in is a bio of the recipient, Harry Prytherch of The Remo Four and a note indicating that the book was signed when Harry was invited to the book launch in 2000. John Lennon, Griffiths, Pete Shotton, Garry, Hanton, and Davis formed the first stable line-up of the skiffle group, the Quarrymen. Signed by Author(s).

Sir Colin Rex Davis 1927-2013 was an English conductor, known for his association with the London Symphony Orchestra, having first conducted it in 1959. His repertoire was broad, but among the composers with whom he was particularly associated were Mozart, Berlioz, Elgar, Sibelius, Stravinsky and Tippett. Size is 210mm x 150mm. Condition is good. Von 1995 bis 2007 war er Chefdirigent des London Symphony Orchestra, 1998-2003 Gastdirigent des New York Philharmonic Orchestra. Davis arbeitete von 1981 bis 2013 mit der Sächsischen Staatskapelle Dresden zusammen. Dies führte 1990 zu einer lebenslangen Ehrendirigentschaft[3] und am 9. Mai 2013 zu einem Gedenkkonzert.[4] Neben seinen Interpretationen von Mozarts Werk zeichnete sich Sir Colin vor allem durch Einspielungen der Werke von Hector Berlioz und Jean Sibelius aus.
