Condition: Gut. Leinen Leineneinband mit vergoldetem Rückentitel. Regalspuren am Fußschnitt, ansonsten sind Einband, Schnitt und Seiten sauber und ordentlich. Die Seiten sind in Maschinenschrift gesetzt, einseitig bedruckt. Auf dem fliegenden Vorsatz Widmung des Autors für seinen Freund Gerhard Walendy, der als Hauptmann im Stab der 3. Panzergrenadierdivision gedient hatte. Über Hubert Dill ist nichts in Erfahrung zu bringen, insbesondere über seine Rolle im Krieg und ob er selbst in russischer Kriegsgefangenschaft war. Er schreibt im Vorwort daß sein Tatsachenbericht "auf Unterlagen beruht, die in der Hölle sowjetischer Gefangenenlager niedergeschrieben wurden."
