Hardcover. Condition: VG+. Apparent First Edition. Blue cloth binding with some light marks, else pleasingly clean; the spine and gilt lettering somewhat sunned. T.e.g still bright. Light wear to extremities only. Well bound tight copy with covers firmly attached. Former owner bookplate on the front paste-down, writer Francis N. Peloubet, with handwritten book number from his library. Front free end page has the signature of the editor, with preface "cordially yours" above this is a quoted poem from browning in her handwriting, dated Feb. 10, 1910. Below this is a pencil notation of transfer of ownership and dated 1920. Bright and clean paper (deckled fore- and bottom-edges) and very good presswork. Frontispiece of Browning with tissue guard still present. No dust jacket, if issued. 179 pages.

Brown sude leather, front fore-edge has lost a uniform strip of about 1/16th of an inch- see graphic. Contents VG and clean throughout. I don't know if it is Elizabeth or Robert and I don't see a reference for the book nor does it specify. It consists of quotes amounting to a line or two up to a couple of verses.

Beautiful hand-tooled and bound by Reviere & Son in full Blue smooth calf with ornate decorations stamped in gilt on the spine & Cover edges, and gilt inner dentelles, a.e.g, and marbled end papers. Near Fine, spine sunned (loss of blue dye) Housed in the ORIGINAL Slipcase (which is nearly always missing from this title thus) Mild to moderate wear with light sunning and minor wear, no tears to the box joints. Quite Nice. Very unusual and scarce thus.
