Declaration Purchase Vineyard Roznava (1 results)

No Binding. Condition: Very Good. A document in Hungarian, written in brown ink by Péter Deák, a resident of Roznava-mine, concerning the purchase of a vineyard on the Almási hill near Roznava. In his letter, written in clear Hungarian in old-fashioned letters, Péter Deák (in the original, "Péter diák" Student) acknowledges and confirms the following before the entire Roznava-mine town council: the priest Gergely of Almás did not buy the vineyard from the step-parents of the priest Mihály, but from the Kreisel family of the nearby field town of Szomolnok (Szepes county). He knows this from the fact that at the time of the purchase he paid a large part of the price of the vineyard himself in silverware and cash, which was then repaid to him in wine by priest Gergely. Deacon Peter made his statement mainly because of his illness, and apparently at the request of priest Gergely. Dated: 3 July 1568, Roznava-mine (Gömör County). 1 sheet, 1 inscribed page.
