Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Fine. 1st Edition. New York: Avon/Publishers of Bard, Camelot, Discus and Flare Books/SFBC, (1988). First Hardcover edition, first printing. This first hardcover edition issued by the Book Club was published in June 1988, and bears the same cover art by Ron Walotsky as the original first edition published by Avon in paperback in April 1988. The second entry in the Shining Steel Universe series is filled with elaborate jokes and tricks, and features Bredon, demi-god Powers, Lady Sunlight, and Geste the Trickster. A Hugo Award winning author. Fine and very tight in polished white linen boards with black embossed titles to the spine; in a very nearly fine dust jacket with a lovely original gloss, with a minuscule crimp to the upper and lower shelf-edges of the front panel and with just a hint of rubbing to the upper and lower spine edges, jacket art by Ron Walotsky; original code 13539 still intact to the rear panel. (A glare light-reflecting line on the spine panel shows in the photo, the spine panel is actually quite bright and unfaded.) After photographing we will place the dust jacket in a quality Brodart brand, removable, clear protective sleeve.
