Cracking to hinges, no damage to end papers. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Mild crushing to spine ends, with fraying cloth and small splits. Moderate tanning to spine. Gilt lettering is darkened. Book has a slight forward lean.

THERE IS A SMALL STICKER ON THE SPINE THAT HAS BEEN PARTLY REMOVED. THE BINDING IS TIGHT BUT THERE IS AN UNFINISHED EDGE. THERE IS A PLATE FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF HULL INSIDE THE FRONT BOARD AND THEIR STAMP ON SOME OF THE PAGES. THERE IS FOXING TO THE EDGE. THERE IS YELLOWING TO THE PAGES BUT THEY GENERALLY APPEAR CLEAN AND CREASE FREE. ALL IN ALL A NICE EXAMPLE OF THIS BOOK.
