John Fenwick Blackburn [1923-1993] hybridised the thriller, science fiction and horror genres to great effect. Blackburn re-invigorated science fiction with the addition of new elements. Centipede Press is an American independent book and periodical publisher focusing on horror, weird tales, crime narratives, science fiction, gothic novels, fantasy art, and studies of literature, music and film. The press was founded in 2001 in Lakewood, Colorado by Jerad Walters.
