Small loss of paper to dust wrapper back strip tail, with light edgewear to back strip head. Minor loss to head of rear wrap. Light handling mark to fore edge of front wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Most significantly, two thirds of the jacket spine has separated and the front flap has separated completed but is tucked in. Pencil on front fly leaf, otherwise clean inside. Tight binding.

A basically fine copy in a slightly worn dust jacket, some small rubbed spots on the spine. A review copy, with the printed slip laid in. Inscribed and signed by Keller, dated 1950. The devil befriends a bookseller in this novel, which was suppressed after publication.
