Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Fair. 1st Edition. First edition first printing of the first full length novel by this author. There is a two inch closed tear that has been tape repaired on the rear dustjacket's panel top edge. A one inch semi closed tear to the bottom edge front corner of the spine. Not price clipped, but there is no price on the front inside flap indicating that this copy was printed in the UK and sold in Canada. In very good / fair condition.

Condition: Good. 1953. No Edition Remarks. 252 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth boards with gilt lettering. Pages and binding are presentable with no major defects. Minor issues present such as mild cracking, inscriptions, inserts, light foxing, tanning and thumb marking. Overall a good condition item. Boards have mild shelf wear with light rubbing and corner bumping. Some light marking and sunning.
