Full red linen with an emblem of two eagles stamped in gilt on front cover. Decorative titling on spine in black and gilt. Mustard yellow endpapers. Book retains the original glassine jacket, which is often missing. Housed in a brown paper-covered slipcase with the author's initials and eagle emblem in black and gilt. Light staining on slipcase. Fine in a Near Fine slipcase. Limited to 1500 numbered copies, this being No. 1104, printed at the Sign of the Stone Book in Bloomfield, Connecticut. Beautifully illustrated with drawings by George Him, hand-colored at the studio of Walter Fischer in New York. SIGNED by the artist on the colophon. (LEC 381).

Palmer worked with Olivier on several films throughout the late twentieth century, including "Lawrence of Arabia" (1962), "Battle of Britain" (1969), "A Bridge Too Far" (1977), and "Clash of the Titans" (1981).
