A very good or better copy, the binding square and firm with a little bumping at the head and tail of the spine, the cloth bright and fresh. The contents, with some spotting to the endpapers are otherwise clean throughout. Complete with the rubbed and nicked dustwrapper that has a few short closed tears with associated creasing and mild toning of the rear panel. Not price-clipped (9s 6d net to the lower front flap). Inscribed by the author in black ink on the front endpaper "A ma bonne et / heureuse amie, avec mon amour, Dorothy / Dunn, la jeune D. / Gladys Mitchell / Novembre 1951".
