The book is bound in red cloth spine over tan paper over boards with titling on paper labels on the front cover and spine. Paper label on the spine is torn and worn. Covers have darkened. Corners, spine caps and fore-edge of the back cover are bumped. Name of previous owner in period script on the front paste-down. Otherwise, pages are lightly age-toned, clean, smooth and unmarked.The author was an American lawyer, judge and author of the Plupy stories which were published in the Saturday Evening Post. Delightfully illustrated by American painter Morgan Dennis.
