Rubbed to corners and with some marks to boards. Spine shaky and cracked in a couple of places. binding remains secure however. Without front and rear end papers and assumed this is as published. Title page and last page age tanned and lightly faded to page edges otherwise clean. Fully translated - full title "together with Abbreviations in Frequent Use and notes for the General Reader" - A dictionary appendix published by Routledge to help the general reader understand the foreign phrases and colloquialisms that were appearing in print more frequently at the time of publication. Standard dictionaries of the day did not include such phrases as they do today and the general reader was often at a loss for their meaning. This handy easy to access appendix aimed to bridge this gap.
