The leather of the spine & the front edges of the covers is dried out & cracking & there is a piece out of one of the labels, not affecting the titling. vi & 238 pages; xiii, [i] & 132 pages; ix, [i] &132 pages; and [iv] & 24 pages. Poynter's work is illustrated with a folding chart. The pastedowns, endpapers & front & rear blanks are foxed with their edges darkened & there is occasional foxing & staining to the rest of the contents. There are 2 owner's ink names with dates on the front endpaper, one of them a contemporary owner. Good working copy. The Wigram and Gibbons works are first American editions based on the London editions. The Poynter work is a first American edition based on the second London edition.A volume in the Law Library series.
