Partly printed document on Treasury of The United States stationery, dated July 16th, 1828. Two pages, folded, printed on one side only, the verso bearing the address to which it was sent. Document deals with the delivery of a draft for $160 on New York branch of the Bank of the United States. Signed in full by William Clark. Mailing folds, remnants of the wax seal. Clark, a veteran of the War of 1812, was Treasurer of the United States under John Quincy Adams and Andrew Jackson (June, 1828 to May 31, 1829) and was later a Whig congressman from Pennsylvania.
