Hardcover. Condition: Good. 1st Edition. A Very Large Legal Folio Book (Cartulary) entitled 'Notes On Titles C.R. & Co.' This book contains legal documents in both typed and manuscript form about property transactions in Glasgow and the West of Scotland. There is a 4pp Contents section at the front listing the property transactions, which appear to date from 1930-1955, although the documents themselves also include details dating back to the 19th Century. The book is similar in style to a very fat accounts ledger, containing approximately 1,000 leaves of documents. A completely unique volume. The book would make superb film prop or set decor piece. On the first pastedown is a label from James Findlay and Sons, Glasgow dated to 20th February 1956, which would have been the binding date of these documents. A good hardback with tan leather spine and corners, with red morocco label with gilt to spine. Also on spine is a small paper label entitled 'Book 2'. Brown buckram cloth over boards. Covers are scuffed, bumped and worn, but all still soundly bound, despite the heavy weight of the contents. Text is generally bright and clean throughout, with age toned edges. Text in English. 4pp Contents + 941 numbered leaves, with some additional unnumbered leaves also included. Dimensions: Approximately 350mm high x 240mm wide x 105mm deep.
