Hardcover. Condition: Near fine. A silk-bound accordian-style book, all 4 edges gilt, with 66 tipped-in coloured matchbox labels made in Japan, made for sale in Asia, particularly China. The labels date from the early Meiji-Taisho periods and mainly depict children playing. Endpapers are flecked with gold. Never published - was originally made by a collector. Some wear to the edges and corners, minor foxing to the margins, and a small dent to the bottom text block edge, but silk title plate intact and contents and labels very clean and bright. Extremely rare. Used book.
