A smart second edition of this illustrated autobiography from English cartoonist Sir Osbert Lancaster, signed and inscribed by the publisher. Second edition, originally released in autographed limited edition of forty-five copies in 1953. Signed and inscribed by the publisher Jock Murray, or John Murray VI, to the front endpaper in presentation to "R. R. R.", dated October 12th 1963. Illustrated with a colour frontispiece and numerous in-text images. The autobiography of Sir Osbert Lancaster, an English cartoonist, architectural historian, stage designer and author. Remembered for his cartoons in the British press, and his lifelong work to inform the general public about good buildings and architectural heritage. In the original yellow cloth binding. Externally, very smart with minor bumping to the extremities. A small mark to the tail of the spine. Original unclipped dust wrapper is also smart with light wear and minor chipping to the extremities. Light sunning to the spine with the odd small mark to the panels. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd small spot to the endpapers. Publisher's ink inscription to the front endpaper. Near Fine. signed by author. book.
