First edition, 1946. Dormouse sets sail to search for the end of the rainbow. Boards rubbed at edges and small inscription to front free endpaper. Slight foxing to page edges but contents otherwise in very good bright condition.

Second of the author/illustrator's books for children; she was better-known for illustrating Enid Blyton books and later wrote on British wildlife. Thin hardcover in jacket, as pictured. Book shows some wear, particularly to the bottom edge, light foxing; price-clipped jacket chipped, stainerd, torn, foxed; pages show minor foxing, a few tiny edge tears. Text clean; [2], [34] pages, of which 17 are full-page color plates. Size: 6¾" by 9½".

In the very scarce illustrated dustjacket with a one inch closed tear and some minor chipping at spine ends and flapfolds. Quite presentable in a new protective mylar cover.
