Condition: Fair. 1936. 276 pages. No dust jacket. This is an ex-Library book. Green cloth with gilt lettering. Ex-Library copy, with expected inserts, stamps and inscriptions. Front endpaper has been removed. Pages are moderately tanned and thumbed at the edges, with creased corners and foxing. Hinges and guttering are cracked. Binding is loose. Boards are a little rub worn, slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are mildly crushed. Moderate tanning to spine and edges. Boards are notably bowed. Book has a prominent forward lean. Moderate water marks to boards and spine.

First Edition. Youngman Carter dustjacket art. Interesting novel of post World War One Balkan life, romance and riots. Near Fine but for some soiling to page edges, in Very Good price clipped (inch square clipped from lower front flap) dustjacket with some very minor loss at spine ends.
