From Wikipedia "Dragonflight is the story of Lessa, the sole survivor of the noble ruling family of Ruatha Hold on the northern continent of Pern. When the rest of her family is killed by a cruel usurper, Fax, she survives by disguising herself as a drudge (a menial servant), partly through simply adopting a slovenly appearance, but also by using her hereditary telepathic abilities to make others see her as far older and less attractive than she actually is. Her only friend is a watch-wher, a somewhat telepathic animal related to dragons, that guards the Hold. Lessa psychically influences other Hold workers to do less than their best work, or to become clumsy or inefficient, in order to sabotage Ruatha as part of her strategy to make it economically unproductive, so that Fax will renounce it and she can retake her Hold." >>This is a reading copy. Hardcover. Condition: Fine. No Jacket. 1st Edition. A very scarce title in any condition, this volume is in Fine condition. The front and back covers are in terrific condition and the gilded page edges show minor wear (see pictures of all edges). There is faint residue on the second page. This book is part of the Masterpieces of Science Fiction Collection published by Easton Press and would be a beautiful addition to your Easton Press collection.
Hardcover. Condition: Fair to Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. First Edition/First Printing. Essentially I am selling the jacket of this title. The book is present, but parts of several preliminary pages have been excised and cut. I will describe the book, not the jacket, but the book, as being ex library although there is little indication of such. The jacket is better than very good, UNMARKED with $4.95 price intact. There are NO tears, it just shows light general use. The only flaw is a FAINT half inch moisture stain to the rear bottom tip. If you need a jacket for this rare title this could be it.
