Davison was targeted for his distaste for Wagner by the Nazi regime, and, despite not being of Jewish descent, was including in the 1940 Nazi 'handbook' cataloguing Jewish musicians.Henry also edited and shaped his father's papers into memoirs, published in 1912. Bound in original grey paper. Externally, very smart. Slight chipping to extremities. Small losses to paper to head and tail. The odd marks to covers and reverse of covers. Hinges starting. 'With the Publisher's Compliments' stamp embossed to front cover and front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean, with the odd handling mark. Very Good. book.
