Overall good, with light superficial scuffing to boards and spine, along with some bumping to corners. Some cracks and starting to hinges. Text block remains bound well. Foldout frontispiece and plates numbered 1-18 in first part, with some plates numbers out of order. Light markings. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Light exterior splitting and small tears to binding between front and back boards and spine. Hinges remain in good condition and text block remains bound well. Light marginalia and markings, primarily to front of book. Occasional black-and-white illustrations and foldout frontispiece to first part of text block.
