Half-cloth and Marbled Boards. Condition: Good +/ Very Good. First Edition. Half cloth [cream] and green marbled boards; 5 gilt bands and gilt tiling on black patch to spine. Pp 282 + 52 pages 'Appendix. Advertisement to the List of Books'. A little board rub but this is a square, tight, clean copy; contents tight and clean; neat pon: 'H. Wood, Raasay' [the Woods owned Raasay House in the 19th century]. Image available upon request.

Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. First Edition. Tan embossed boards with gilt titling to front board. Brown end papers somewhat faded to edges. Couple of the prelims are smudged and previous owner's initials and date on verso of front end paper. Binding tight and contents clean. C00003669.

Contemporary Russia. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. Two volumes. Spines attractively decorated in gilt. Some evidence of old damp intrusion confined to endpapers and edges, but still a handsome copy of a work which was often reprinted.

Prior owners name on the fly leaf; discoloration from leaves pressed inside on the front endpapers and last page of text; offset from the engraving on the title page.
