This is apparently the same Alice Isabel who is in the Social Register of high society in N.Y., for whatever that is worth. There is also an inscription by a later owner, who was a great scholar and linguist: Howard Wohl [and in Hebrew:] Tishrey [5]725 [=1965] Khana Israel ben Yaakov Moshe. small tear in blank margin of page 14, the half title.
