Hardcover. Second printing of first (1961) issue: 511p., followed by several line-maps bound in at terminus, incorporating a small photo & facsimile section in inserted stock. A very presentable copy, which probably would not have fallen into our non-specialist hands but for the inked underlines throughout chapter IX (pp.288-312). Hardbound in the green-cloth OUP format, a nice round-back titled gilt, supplied with the original plain printed green dust jacket, which is a tad dusty and edgeworn. Find ownership data on both pastedown and the front free endpaper, neat enough; book as a whole is firm and square, clean (save for portions of dust jacket) and otherwise unmarked by ownerships and brackets, a good+ copy. FYI, the former owner was enrolled in Peace Corps Training Center, Brattleboro VT.
