    Cloth. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. First Edition. Inscribed "To Eliot with Love from May Feb 10, 1937" on front endpaper. Laid in is a Typed letter signed by Sarton from Aug. 29th, 1984 saying that "I presume that copy of Encounter in April must have been given to Eliot Cabot, an actor who directed a play for the Apprentice Theatre one summer, a company I managed and founded in the thirties." Letter is in its original envelope with Sarton's return address label and on her stationary. Beige cloth a bit soiled with a few surface scratches, but tight and square.
