Young George Micklejohn managed to have a British Cabinet Minister for a father, to cross the East-West German frontier, to get his hands on some top-secret Russian plans, and to disappear. Which was when Tommy Hambleton of the Foreign Office's Service made his entry into the search for the missing college student and into the East Zone. The result of Hambledon's border crossing and his capacity to put a Russian general under the table is one of the best Manning Coles stories ever. This book was the 22nd publication in the 25 volume set of books featuring MI5 agent Tommy Hambledon. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.

It is an Ex-Royal Navy Library book and bears a stamp stating "H M S Nubian" on the ffep. There is also a stamp on the leading edge of the bottom pages which states "Supplied for the Public Service". Bumped at head and tail of book spine. The dustjacket which is fair to good is basically complete (but there are some small pieces missing at the top and bottom of the spine) but there is considerable staining to the inside of the dustjacket and some staining on the rear panel of the dustjacket. Tommy Habmledon's twenty-second Secret Service adventure. "An Oxford undergraduate, the son of a British Cabinet Minister, has disappeared over the frontier dividing West from East Germany.
