A lively and eccentric collection of satirical and descriptive letters centred on Norfolk, particularly Yarmouth, blending local observation with broader social commentary. Issued as a series of "Letters," with contents pages and errata, the volume also includes a dedication "To Icenia, Goddess of Norfolk." The present copy is further distinguished by a pencil sketch to the front blank, depicting a sailor figure with telescope, and to rear blank, depicting a group drinking. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean. Slight soiling to title page. The odd light spot and handling mark, heavier to first few leaves.
