First edition thus ( includes the 15 etchings from Ritchie's earlier "Etchings by French artists". All etchings present and in very good state.

Contains 21 of 25 fine etchings arranged as follows: a title page followed by the full-page, tissue guarded etching and a page of explanatory text. Encompasses Ritchie's Etchings by French Artists, including Couteaux, Casanova, Gilli, Delauney, Detaille, Martial, Cortazo, Guignard, Saffrey, and Jazet and with the addition of fifteen fine plates by other prominent artists, including Appian, Jacquemart, Bicknell, Rudaux, Lepage, Burnard, Buhot, Nehlig, Ballin, Beauverie, and Daubigny. Lacks 3 Bicknell and the Rudaux. Covers still relatively bright. A nice copy of a scarce collection, albeit missing 4 of the etchings. Large heavy volume; extra shipping required.

Slight hinge wear at the front and back of the book, with first and second flyleaf pages loose at the bottom. Small inscriptions towards the front of the book.
