Limited to 42 sets signed by Charles Simic, of which this is signed 'AP-c' for Artists' Proof copy. In fine condition. Contains eleven color etchings (including the title-page), each signed by the artist George Nama. Winner of the 1990 Pulitzer Prize in poetry and U.S. Poet Laureate for 2007-08, Charles Simic (1938-2023) wrote moving, surrealistic poetry often based on his own experiences, particularly his traumatic childhood in what was then Yugoslavia. From the colophon: This portfolio is a collaboration consisting of ten etchings printed on Arches Velin paper to accompany ten poems. The text is set in Linotype and foundry Garamond and printed by Darrel Hyder, The Sun Hill Press, North Brookfield, Massachusetts.
